How to write it, step by step

  1. Write capital T and carry its ending stroke straight into the u.
  2. Join the rest of the letters without lifting your pencil: u, e, s, d, a and y.
  3. Let the y drop below the baseline and loop back up through it.

Tips for each letter

T
Adding the middle cross. Capital T has only the top bar; with a cross it becomes an F.
u
Rounding the bottom points into a w. Cursive u has two points at the top, not three.
e
Making the loop too big, so e looks like l. The loop stays below the midline.
s
Writing it like a print s. Cursive s is a point at the top and a small closed belly at the bottom.
d
Making a loop on the tall stick. Cursive d goes up and back down on the same line, with no loop.
a
Leaving the top open, so a looks like u. Close the circle before you slant down.
y
Leaving the loop open below the line. Bring the tail back up so it crosses at the baseline.
