About Dot & Loop
Dot & Loop makes free printable handwriting and math worksheets for parents and teachers. Every sheet is free to print, with no sign-up and no account.
Why Dot & Loop exists
Dot & Loop was started by H.A. Sabir, who has taught young children.
Teaching small children to write is slow, patient work. A child learns where to put the pencil down, which way to go, and when to lift it. A good practice sheet makes that easier: clear lines, letters shaped the way schools teach them, and plenty of room to try again.
Dot & Loop is built around that idea: type a name or pick a letter, see the sheet straight away, and print it.
What you can count on
- Free, with no sign-up. Every worksheet and tool is free to print. You never need an account.
- Letters the way schools teach them. Our cursive follows the joining rules of the main US school programs: most capitals join the next letter, while a few, like S, P and O, stand alone. Print letters use shapes designed for early readers.
- Sheets that print well. Every sheet works on US Letter and A4 paper, and stays clear on a black and white printer.
- Your child’s name stays with you. Name sheets are made in your browser. We don’t store the names you type.
- Calm ads. Ads keep Dot & Loop free. They sit between sections, never over a worksheet, never next to the Print button, never in children’s practice areas and never on the printed sheet.
How our worksheets are made
- Letter shapes come from open-licence school handwriting fonts: Playwrite, made by TypeTogether for teaching handwriting, and Andika, made by SIL for early readers.
- Every letter is reviewed by H.A. Sabir before it goes live.
- Guides and tips are drafted with the help of AI tools, then checked and edited by a person. Our editorial policy explains how.
