Privacy policy

Short version: there are no accounts, the names you type stay in your browser, and analytics and ad cookies are used only as you choose in cookie settings.

Who we are

Dot & Loop (https://dotandloop.com) makes free printable worksheets for parents and teachers. It is run by H.A. Sabir. For anything about your data, email hello@dotandloop.com.

What we don’t collect

  • No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for, so we hold no names, emails or passwords.
  • Names and words you type into worksheet makers are used in your browser to draw the sheet. They are not sent to us or stored by us.

What is collected, and why

  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity). Which pages are visited, which sheets are printed, the type of device and browser, the rough location (country or city) and how people move around the site. We use this to find out which worksheets help and what to fix. Clarity also records clicks and scrolling on our pages; it hides anything typed into fields.
  • Advertising (Google AdSense). Google and its partners use cookies to show ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure them, and, if you allow it, show ads based on your interests. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services .
  • Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, records technical details of each visit, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
  • Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to reply.

The full list of cookies, with how long each one lasts, is on our cookie policy page.

Your choices

  • Visitors in the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland are asked first. Analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you agree, and you can choose each one separately.
  • Everyone can change their choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
  • US visitors can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for ads. Once ads are running, a “Do not sell or share my personal information” link will appear in the footer.
  • You can also opt out of personalised Google ads at Google’s ad settings , and of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on .

Legal basis (UK and EEA)

We use analytics and advertising cookies only with your consent. Server logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data about you, object to its use, or withdraw consent. Because we hold no accounts, most data sits with Google, Microsoft and Cloudflare, linked to a random cookie ID rather than your name. Email us and we will help, or contact those companies directly. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

How long data is kept

Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months, then deleted. Cookie lifetimes are listed on the cookie policy page.

Children

Dot & Loop is written for parents and teachers, who print the sheets for children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal details, email us and we will delete them.
