How to write it, step by step
- Write capital S, then lift your pencil: in school cursive, S does not join the next letter.
- Join the rest of the letters without lifting your pencil: u, n, d, a and y.
- Let the y drop below the baseline and loop back up through it.

Tips for each letter
- S
- Writing it like a print S. Cursive S starts with an undercurve from the baseline.
- u
- Rounding the bottom points into a w. Cursive u has two points at the top, not three.
- n
- Pointy tops that make n look like u upside down. The humps are round on top.
- d
- Making a loop on the tall stick. Cursive d goes up and back down on the same line, with no loop.
- a
- Leaving the top open, so a looks like u. Close the circle before you slant down.
- y
- Leaving the loop open below the line. Bring the tail back up so it crosses at the baseline.
