February in cursive

How to write it, step by step
- Write capital F, then lift your pencil: in school cursive, F does not join the next letter.
- Join the rest of the letters without lifting your pencil: e, b, r, u, a, r and y.
- Watch the high join (br): after b, o, v or w, the next letter starts at the midline, not the baseline.
- Let the y drop below the baseline and loop back up through it.

Tips for each letter
- F
- Joining F to the next letter, or leaving off the middle cross. F stands alone and has its cross.
- e
- Making the loop too big, so e looks like l. The loop stays below the midline.
- b
- Dropping the ending to the baseline. b ends high, at the midline, so the next letter starts from there.
- r
- Rounding the top so r looks like an i or an n. The small flat step at the top is what makes the r.
- u
- Rounding the bottom points into a w. Cursive u has two points at the top, not three.
- a
- Leaving the top open, so a looks like u. Close the circle before you slant down.
- y
- Leaving the loop open below the line. Bring the tail back up so it crosses at the baseline.
