How to write it, step by step

  1. Write capital A and carry its ending stroke straight into the p.
  2. Join the rest of the letters without lifting your pencil: p, r, i and l.
  3. Let the p drop below the baseline and loop back up through it.
  4. When the word is finished, go back to dot the i.

Tips for each letter

A
Making it look like a giant lowercase a with a short stick. Capital A is tall: the oval reaches the top line.
p
Making a loop on the tail. Cursive p goes down and back up the same line, with no loop below.
r
Rounding the top so r looks like an i or an n. The small flat step at the top is what makes the r.
i
Stopping to dot the i in the middle of a word. Finish the word first, then dot.
l
Making the loop so thin it disappears, so l looks like a tall i without a dot. Keep the loop open.
