Learning to sign a name in cursive

  1. Trace the name. Use the tracing sheet until every join feels easy.
  2. Copy it. Write it under the model a few times.
  3. Make it a signature. Write it a little smaller and quicker; keep the capital clear.

Questions parents ask

Why does my name have a gap after the capital?

Eight capitals, B, D, F, O, P, S, V and W, do not join the next letter in school cursive, so there is a small lift after them.

Do I need cursive for a signature?

No, a signature can be any style, but many people use cursive because it is quick to write and hard to copy exactly.
