How to write it, step by step

  1. Join the letters without lifting your pencil: m, o, t, h, e and r.
  2. Watch the high join (ot): after b, o, v or w, the next letter starts at the midline, not the baseline.
  3. When the word is finished, go back to cross the t.

Tips for each letter

m
Adding a fourth hump or losing one. Cursive m has three humps (three slants down); n has two.
o
Dropping the ending to the baseline. Cursive o ends high, so the next letter starts from the midline.
t
Making t as tall as l, or adding a loop. Cursive t is shorter than the tall letters and has no loop.
h
Making the hump too narrow, so h looks like an l and an i. Give the hump some width.
e
Making the loop too big, so e looks like l. The loop stays below the midline.
r
Rounding the top so r looks like an i or an n. The small flat step at the top is what makes the r.
